1. What is Interbank GIRO (IBG) via ATM ?

It is an interbank fund transfer service available at AmBank ATMs. Using your AmBank ATM/Debit card, you can transfer funds or make loan/ credit card repayments to other participating banks.

2. Who are eligible to use this service ?

This service is only available for AmBank ATM/Debit card cardholders.

3. What is the maximum transaction limit ?

• RM50,000 per day for Malaysian residents.
• RM10,000 per day for non-Malaysian residents.

4. Are there any service fees or charges imposed ?

The service charge is RM0.10 per transaction.

5. When will the funds be available in the recipient’s account ?

For IBG fund transfer to other banks’ current & saving accounts:

8. What should I do if I have keyed in a wrong beneficiary account number ?

Kindly seek immediate assistance from the branch staff or call our contact centre at +603 2178 8888. 

9. How should I key in the account number for fund transfers to Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Malaysia) Berhad (ICBC) ?

You are required to key in the last 17 digits of the account number (ie; 3rd digit onwards). For eg; for account number “0129000 1000 0012 3456”, please key in “29000 1000 0012 3456”.
