How to bid for an auctioned vehicle?

Before Auction Day

 

  1. Visit the auctioneer’s website or contact the storeyard for an appointment to view or inspect the actual vehicle.

  2. Obtain a copy of the Proclamation of Sale (POS) from the auctioneer. Read the POS and terms & conditions (T&C) of online motor vehicle auction.

  3. Once you have finalised the vehicle that you wish to purchase, place a deposit with the appointed auctioneer before the commencement of the auction, i.e., RM1,000 deposit for a vehicle with reserve price (RP) of less than RM100,000 or RM5,000 deposit for a vehicle with RP equal or more than RM100,000.

During Auction Day

 

  1. You will be given a log-in password for bidding by the auctioneer before the start of the auction.

  2. Wait for the details of your preferred vehicle to be shown on the screen for the bidding.

  3. Once displayed on the screen, you may proceed to bid. You are advised to bid reasonable and rationally based on your budget.

After Auction Day

 

  1. If you are a successful bidder, a Contract of Sale (COS) will be generated for you. You will need to settle the balance of the purchase price (BPP) within 5 working days after the auction date.

  2. Upon payment of the BPP, if the auctioned vehicle is without a key, you are required to engage a locksmith to unlock the vehicle at your own cost. You will also need to conduct two (2) PUSPAKOM checks at your own cost:

    • A simple VR1 inspection in the storeyard before you take delivery of the vehicle.

    • A comprehensive B5 inspection at any PUSPAKOM centre after you have taken possession of the vehicle.

  3. Contact the AmBank/AmBank Islamic officer (as stated in the COS) who is handling the transfer or documentation of the auctioned vehicle to complete the transfer of ownership at any JPJ branch.

  4. However, if you are an unsuccessful bidder, the auctioneer will refund your deposit within one (1) working day after the auction date.
