What is BNM’s Fund for SMEs – Disaster Relief Facility (DRF)

Disaster Relief Facility (DRF) DRF is a financing facility to provide relief to SMEs affected by the recent floods based on area and period indentified by Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara (NADMA). The financing facility is calculated based on a fixed rate basis and guaranteed by Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC).

Note: The financing shall not be used for the following actitivies:
• Purchase of shares;
• Refinancing of existing credit / financing facilities;
• Purchase of land / real estate investment;
• Property development;
• Investment by investment holding companies;
• Activities where stock in trade is money (including credit, leasing, factoring and insurance businesses);
• Gambling, alcohol, tobacco or other similar activities / products; and
• Non-shariah compliant activities (applies to Islamic financing only)

Up to seven (7) years including 6-month moratorium

Up to 3.5% per annum inclusive of guarantee fee (if any)

Amount of Financing:
  • Maximum of RM700,000 per SME
  • Maximum of RM150,000 per Micro Enterprise
