DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets

1. What is DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets?
DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets is a more seamless and secure payment solution for customers when performing payments to e-commerce platforms.
2. Do I need to register to use DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets?
No, registration is not required. This function is open to all AmOnline customers.
3. How do I perform payment with DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets via AmOnline?
  1. Once you get to the payment section on the merchant website/app, choose to pay with DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets and select AmBank.
  2. After you click on AmBank, you will be redirected to AmOnline. Log in using your AmOnline credentials.
  3. After successfully logging in, review the details displayed to you.
  4. If you want to change the account to deduct the funds, click on “Change Account”. Once you have chosen the account, you will see the newly selected account reflected.
  5. Click “Continue” if the details are correct and you will receive an AmSecure authorisation request on your mobile device.
    Note: If you did not receive it, go to AmOnline app (no need to login) and tap on the AmSecure Authorisation button.
  6. Once done, you will see the Transaction Status page. Return to the merchant website/app to view the status of the payment.

Note: Please ensure that you have activated AmSecure on your AmOnline app before you perform DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets.

4. Which account can I use to pay the merchant?
You can use either your AmBank Savings Account/-i, Current Account/-i or *AmBank Credit Card/i.
Note: Subject to whether merchant accepts Credit Card payment.
5. What is the allowable daily limit for DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets?

This depends on the personal limit that you set for this transaction type. Go to AmOnline App > tap on “More” > Tap on “Transaction Limit” > refer to “FPX/Online Payment” personal limit.

The maximum allowable daily limit is RM50,000 and this is shared with FPX and Online Payments.

Please note that you need to serve a 12-hour cooling-off period if you increase your transaction limit. Refer to “Transaction Limit” FAQ for more details.

6. How much is the service charge for using DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets via AmOnline?
There is currently no service charge to customers for using this service.
7. How does DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets differ from the existing FPX service?
DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets is the new real-time online payment service superseding FPX that allows you to make payments securely. Depending on which service the merchants subscribe to, you will see either FPX or DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets during payment.
