Online Payments (FPX)

1. What is FPX?​
It is a payment gateway that allows you to make online payments in real time using your Savings/Current or Credit Card account. AmBank is one of the FPX participating banks and you will be able to make online payment from participating merchants’ website/app (e.g. Lazada, Shopee) via AmOnline.
2. How do I perform FPX via AmOnline?

Alternatively, can you follow below steps:

  1. Once you get to the payment section on the merchant website/ app, choose to pay using Online Banking and click on the AmBank icon.
    Note: Please ensure that you are activated AmSecure at your AmOnline app.
  2. After you click on the AmBank icon, you will be directed to the login page of AmOnline. Log in by entering your AmOnline credentials.
  3. After successfully logging in, review the details displayed to you. If you want to change the account, you can click on “Change Account”. Once you choose the account, you will see the newly selected account is reflected.
  4. Click “Continue” if the details are correct and you will receive an AmSecure authorisation request at your mobile device.
    Note: If you did not receive, go to AmOnline mobile app (no need to login) and tap on the AmSecure Authorisation button.
  5. Once done, you will see the Transaction Status page. You can either wait for the timer to run out or click “Continue with Transaction” to go back to merchant website/merchant app.
3. What is the transaction limit for FPX via AmOnline?
  • Minimum limit: RM1.00 (per transaction)
  • Maximum limit: RM50, 000 (per day)

Note: For maximum limit it depends on the personal limit that you set for this transaction type. Go to AmOnline App > tap on “More” > Tap on “Transaction Limit” > refer to “FPX/Online Payment” personal limit.

Please note that you need to serve cooling-off period if you increase your transaction limit. Refer to “Transaction Limit” FAQ for more details.

4. How much is the service charge for FPX via AmOnline?
The service charge imposed for this service varies according to the type of service and merchant selected by customers.
5. What should I do if my FPX transaction via AmOnline is unsuccessful?
