Pay Bills

1. What is Pay Bills?
Pay Bills allow you to pay your bills through AmOnline. You can pay to either JomPAY or Non-JomPAY billers.
2. How do I pay bills at AmOnline?
Go to AmOnline Home Dashboard > Pay Bills. You can pay to new JomPAY or new Non-JomPAY billers. We strongly encourage you to pay using JomPAY.
3. Can I pay multiple billers at one-time?
You can pay multiple billers for your billers saved as your favourite. You can pay up to 5 billers at one-time.
However, you cannot select to pay a JomPAY biller and a Non-JomPAY biller at the same time.
4. Can I pay bills using my credit card?
Some billers accept payment from credit card. Please check with your respective billers if they accept credit card payments.
5. After I have performed pay bills, how long will it get processed?
The processing time for your bills to be updated may take up to 2 or 3 working days from the transaction date.
6. Any charges for paying bills via JomPAY and Non-JomPAY?
No, you will not get charged by AmBank for paying bills via AmOnline. However, some billers may impose a service charge (example: for payment to PTPTN, the service charge is RM0.50). Charges will be displayed on the screen upon performing pay bills.
7. Why I hit cooling-off message and can’t pay bill?
If you just bind your AmOnline profile to a personal mobile device, you will need to serve pre-defined cooling-off. This is a security measure to temporarily restrict transactions via AmOnline. Full access will be restored automatically after the cooling-off period has ended. Refer to “Cooling-off Period” FAQ for more details.
8. What is the allowable daily limit?

It depends on the personal limit that you set for this transaction type. Go to AmOnline App > tap on “More” > Tap on “Transaction Limit” > select “Payments” > refer to “Non-JomPAY/JomPAY/EPF” personal limit.

The maximum allowable daily limit is RM 50,000.00.

Please note that you need to serve cooling-off period if you increase your transaction limit. Refer to “Transaction Limit” FAQ for more details.

9. How can I make a transaction faster without needing to enter the payment details every time?

You can do so by searching for the transaction at Recent AmOnline Transactions, expand the transaction and select Repeat Transaction. You will be navigating to the input page with all the payment details pre-filled for you and you will need to confirm it before proceeding for AmSecure Authorisation.

Alternatively, you can save your biller details as your favourite. For subsequent payment, go to “Pay Bills” menu > select “Favourite” option > select the favourite biller and then proceed with the payment.

10. How do I view the details of my past transactions?
For transactions performed using AmOnline, you can view your it in Recent AmOnline Transactions. Subsequently, you can also view your account transaction history in your account details.
11. How do I share transaction receipt of the payment I just made?
After making a payment, you can tap on the ‘Share Receipt’ button. Alternatively, you can go to Recent AmOnline Transactions to view and share the receipt.
12. Can I schedule a bill payment transaction?

Yes, you can either schedule a bill payment transaction for one-time or recurring. To schedule a bill payment, follow below steps:

  1. After keying in your amount, choose “Pay Later”.
  2. For one-time transfer, select the date you want to make the payment. It must be at a future date.
  3. For recuring transfer, select the ‘Set as recurring’ checkbox. Select the frequency and end date/number of times of your recurring payment.

You will receive notifications upon successful payment on the scheduled date.

13. Where can I view my scheduled payment?
Go to AmOnline app > tap “Menu” > select “Scheduled Transactions”.

17. How do I set JomPAY favourites?

To save your biller details as a favourite, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app and go to the More page.
  2. Scroll down and tap on Favourites.
  3. Select Your Account.
  4. Tap on Add New Account.
  5. Choose JomPAY Biller.
  6. Enter the biller details and save.
