Quick Access

1. What is Quick Access?

Quick Access allows you to leverage on biometric features available on your mobile device (face / fingerprint recognition) or a 6-digit AmOnline PIN to quickly access your accounts summary, recent transactions history, perform low-value transactions and view my quick balance.
2. How do I know if my mobile device supports biometric features or do, I only need to set up AmOnline PIN as my Quick Access?

 

AmOnline will know the type of mobile device that you are using, and we will prompt you with appropriate Quick Access setup.

3. What is Face ID?

Face ID is a facial recognition system introduced by Apple which can be used as an authentication for quick access. Face ID will be available only on iPhone X and above.

 

4. What is Touch ID / Fingerprint?
Touch ID / Fingerprint is available on iOS & Android devices which support fingerprint sensor and scanning. Touch ID / Fingerprint registered on your mobile device can be used for Quick Access authentication in AmOnline.​
5. What is an AmOnline PIN?
AmOnline PIN is only applicable to mobile devices that do not support biometric features or biometric feature is not enabled in your phone.​
6. How secure is Quick Access?

Quick Access is safe to use as your biometrics/AmOnline PIN which are encrypted and securely stored in your mobile device. The data does not leave your mobile device and is never stored in the cloud or anywhere else.

Additionally, to safeguard your account, Quick Access is disabled for mobile devices which have been rooted or jailbroken.

7. How can I activate my Quick Access in AmOnline app?

You can activate Quick Access in AmOnline app during –

  1. During device binding at AmOnline app.
  2. At Settings, Log in to AmOnline > More > Sign-In & Security > Quick Access

Note: Quick Access can be activated only on AmOnline mobile app. This option is not available in AmOnline web browser.

8. I have activated Quick Access but why do I still get prompted for password?
Quick Access allows you to quickly access the summary of your accounts, transactions and performing low-value transactions. Password is still needed for other services in AmOnline and any high-value transactions.
9. Can I activate Quick Access in multiple mobile devices?
No, you cannot. You can only activate Quick Access in one mobile device and your AmOnline profile must be bound to that mobile device.
10. If I have deactivated Quick Access, am I still able log in to AmOnline?
Yes, you can. You can still log in using your password.
11. What should I do if I am planning to sell the mobile device which is registered to the AmOnline mobile app?
We advise you to remove your Face ID/Touch ID/Fingerprint setup from your phone settings. Then, uninstall the AmOnline app.
