Cooling-off period

1. What is a Cooling-Off Period?

Cooling-off period is a security measure to restrict transactions in AmOnline for 12 hours, allowing you to react in case of scam during this critical time window. Full access will be restored automatically after the cooling-off period has ended.

Cooling-off period will take effect automatically after:

  • you install AmOnline on your device for the first time and activate AmSecure at any AmBank ATM.
  • you install AmOnline on another device and activate AmSecure at any AmBank ATM.
  • you increase your transaction limit*.

*Note: You may still transact with your previous limit, refer to “Transaction Limit” FAQ.

2. How do I know if I am serving cooling-off period and when does it end?
During your cooling-off period, a widget on your Home Dashboard in your AmOnline App will display the end date and time of the cooling-off period.

You will also receive reminder notifications about when you will be able to start transacting through AmOnline. Once the cooling-off period ends, you will receive a push notification informing you that you can start performing or approving transactions via AmOnline.
3. I have served my cooling-off period as stated in the AmOnline App, but Why am I still unable to perform any transaction?

If you are unable to perform any transaction, please relaunch the app and try again.

4. I need to perform a transaction urgently. Can I skip the cooling-off period temporarily?
No, you can’t. You must fully serve the cooling-off period.
5. Why can’t I change my AmOnline Transaction Limit?
As part of security control, newly registered AmOnline customers are only allowed to perform transactions up to the pre-defined limit within the pre-defined period set by the bank.
