AutoDeposit 

1. What is AutoDeposit?
AutoDeposit is a feature that allows you to make recurring or scheduled inward fund transfer from your own account in another bank to your own account in AmBank.
2. Which AmBank account can I use to receive money for this inward fund transfer?
You can transfer inward to your own AmBank Current or Savings Account/-i (both Conventional and Islamic).
3. Are there any charges for using AutoDeposit?
AutoDeposit does not incur any charges.
4. How does AutoDeposit work?

First you will need to set up a one-time registration at AmOnline. The registration will be sent to the other bank that you have selected. You will then need to log in to that bank’s online banking portal to approve the registration.

Once registration is approved, at the selected frequency, money will be debited from your account at the other bank and credited to your selected AmBank account.

5. How do I set up this AutoDeposit at AmOnline?

You can go to More/Settings > select AutoDeposit; or go to any of your Current or Savings Account Details > select AutoDeposit. Then follow the steps below:

  1. Select a receiving account for money to be credited in.
  2. Enter the amount that you wish to receive.
  3. Select the frequency, effective date and end date.
  4. Select the bank that you wish to transfer from and enter your account number of the selected bank. Alternatively, you can select any active DuitNow ID that you have previously registered with the other bank.
  5. Enter the purpose of this recurring inward fund transfer.
  6. Verify details at Review & Confirm page, agree to the Terms & Conditions and proceed.
  7. Your AutoDeposit registration for recurring inward transfer will then be submitted to your selected bank.
  8. Log in to your selected bank’s online banking portal and approve the registration.
6. Can I set up AutoDeposit inward fund transfer from an account that belongs to another person at the other bank?
No, you can only transfer from your personal account at the other bank.
7. What happens if I select an account at the other bank that belongs to another person?
After selecting a bank and entering the account number, you will be prompted that the bank account is not under your name. Please change to an account that is under your name.
8. I have set up my AutoDeposit but the transaction shows “Pending Verification”. Why is this happening?
For security reasons, we need to do further verification. We will notify you on the transaction status.
9. Where can I see the AutoDeposit that I have set up?
You can go to More/Settings > select AutoDeposit; or go to any of your Current or Savings Account Details > select AutoDeposit. You will then see the AutoDeposit that you have set up under Manage AutoDeposit list.
10. How many AutoDeposit can I set up?
There is no limit on how many AutoDeposit you can set up. However, if you still have any Pending AutoDeposit (pending you to approve at the other bank), you will need to approve at the other bank first before setting up a new AutoDeposit.
11. How do I know if the inward fund transfer is successful?
You will receive notification when the inward fund transfer is successful. Besides, you can also view the details at Recent AmOnline Transactions or Current or Savings Account Details.
12. What happens if the inward fund transfer is unsuccessful?
You will also receive notification when the inward fund transfer is unsuccessful.
13. Can I change the AmBank account that is receiving the money?

Yes, you can. Follow these steps:

  1. At Manage AutoDeposit list, select the active AutoDeposit that you wish to change the receiving account.
  2. Enter the amount that you wish to receive.
  3. Select Update
  4. Select the other AmBank account that you wish to change to.
  5. Select Confirm.
  6. Your AutoDeposit receiving account has been changed. Next inward fund transfer will be credited to this newly changed account.
14. What if I no longer want to transfer money from my other bank account into my AmBank account?

In this case, you can terminate the AutoDeposit. Follow these steps:

  1. At Manage AutoDeposit list, select the active AutoDeposit that you wish to terminate.
  2. Select Terminate
  3. State the reason for termination and confirm.

Your AutoDeposit is now terminated and will be removed from the Manage AutoDeposit list.
