Pay to AmBank Credit Card​​

1. How can I pay my own AmBank credit card?

There are 2 ways to pay your own AmBank credit card. Go to AmOnline App and follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the “Transfer Money” menu > select the “Own” option and you will see your own AmBank currents/savings accounts, credit cards and loans/financing listed > tap on the credit card that you want to pay to.
  2. Tap on “Account” at the bottom menu > tap on the “Cards” > tap the credit card that you want to pay to > expand the “Details” and select the options available to pay.
2. How do I know how much I need to pay for my credit card?

Go to AmOnline App > tap on “Account” at the bottom menu > tap on the “Cards” > tap the credit card that you want to pay to > expand the “Details”. There are three options available:

3. What is the allowable daily limit for paying my own AmBank credit card?

When you pay your own AmBank credit card using your AmBank currents/savings account, the transaction is treated as a transfer to your own AmBank account. Therefore, it is subject to the daily transfer limit for “Own AmBank Account”.

For example, if you set RM1,000 as your daily “Own AmBank Account” limit, then RM1,000 is the maximum amount you can pay to your own AmBank credit card in a day.

To check or update this limit, go to AmOnline App > tap on “More” at the bottom menu > tap on “Transaction Limit” > expand the “Transfer” and look for “Own AmBank Account” limit.

Important:
If you increase your personal limit, you will need to serve a cooling-off period.

4. Does “Other AmBank credit card” mean someone else’s credit card in AmBank?
Yes. “Other AmBank credit card” refers to another person’s AmBank credit card, not your own.
5. How can I pay to other AmBank credit card?

Go to AmOnline App > tap on the “Transfer Money” menu > select the “New Recipient” option > select “Credit Card/-i” > select “AMBANK” at the Bank Name dropdown menu.

If you have saved someone else’s AmBank credit card details as favourite, then tap on the “Transfer Money” menu > select “Favourite” option > select the favourite credit card that you want to pay to.

6. What is the allowable daily limit for paying other AmBank credit card?

When you pay another person’s AmBank credit card using your AmBank currents/savings account, the transaction is treated as a transfer to another AmBank account. Therefore, it is subject to the daily transfer limit for “Other AmBank Account”.

For example, if you set RM1,000 as your daily “Other AmBank Account” limit, then RM1,000 is the maximum amount you can pay to the person’s AmBank credit card in a day. Note: The maximum allowable limit for this category is RM50,000 per day.

To check or update this limit, go to AmOnline App > tap on “More” at the bottom menu > tap on “Transaction Limit” > expand the “Transfer” and look for “Other AmBank Account” limit.

Important:
If you increase your personal limit, you will need to serve a cooling-off period.

7. Why do I hit cooling-off message and can’t perform payment to other AmBank credit card?
If you have recently bound your AmOnline profile to a personal mobile device, a predefined cooling‑off period will be enforced. During this period, certain transactions including payment to other AmBank credit card, will be temporarily restricted until the cooling‑off period is over. Refer to “Cooling-off Period” FAQ for more details.
8. Any charges when performing payment to AmBank credit card?
No, this service is free of charge.
9. How can I verify that I am paying to the correct person’s Ambank credit card?
For payment to other AmBank credit card, the recipient’s name will be shown on the Review & Confirm page for you to verify the recipient’s name. If the recipient’s name displayed is different from the person you intend to pay to, please do not proceed and verify the details you have entered previously again.
10. How can I make a payment faster without needing to enter the payment details every time?
For payment to other AmBank credit card, you can do so by searching for the transaction at Recent AmOnline Transactions, expand the transaction and select Repeat Transaction. You will be navigating to the input page with all the payment details pre-filled for you and you will need to confirm it before proceeding for AmSecure Authorisation.
11. How do I share transaction receipt of the payment I just made?
After making a payment, you can tap on the ‘Share Receipt’ button. Alternatively, you can go to Recent AmOnline Transactions to view and share the receipt.
12. How do I view the details of my past transactions?
For transactions performed using AmOnline, you can view it in Recent AmOnline Transactions. Subsequently, you can also view your credit card transaction history in your Cards account details.
13. Can I schedule a payment to AmBank credit card?

Yes, you can either schedule a payment for one-time or recurring. To schedule a payment, go to AmOnline App and follow below steps:

  1. After keying in your amount, choose “Schedule for Later” (for own AmBank credit card) or “Pay Later” (for other AmBank credit card).
  2. For one-time payment, select the date you want to pay. It must be at a future date.
  3. For recuring payment, select the ‘Set as recurring’ checkbox. Select the frequency and end date/number of times of your recurring payment.

You will receive notifications upon successful payment on the scheduled date.

14. Where can I view my scheduled payment?
Go to AmOnline app > tap “More” at the bottom menu > tap on “Scheduled Transactions”.
